Turn Off User Account Control (UAC)

May 20, 2018

Click on the start window at the bottom left of windows and without clicking anywhere else start typing either "Change User Account Control" or "UAC".  If you click the windows button then start typing it will automatically search for possible matches within windows.  What we want to open is "Change User Account Control Settings"

In the "User Account Control" window you will see the bar automatically set to the default level "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer"

You can turn off User Account Control by sliding the bar on the left all the way to the bottom where it says "Never Notify" then clicking "OK" at the bottom right of the window.

You will get a pop-up asking you to verify the new setting.  Click Yes or Ok to proceed.
